Will continue until 2027 if Bangladesh fail to win World Cup in 2023: Shakib Al Hasan

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has said that he will look to stretch his career till 2027 if his team fails to win the World Cup 2023 title. The 34-year-old added that given a chance, he would like to change the mentality of Bangladesh cricket team.

Star Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has no current plans of retirement and will look to play until 2027 if his team fails to win the World Cup 2023 title. The 34-year-old, who is currently in India to play for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, added that if given a chance he would want to change the mentality of the Bangladesh cricket team. The comments from Shakib come after, Bangladesh were whitewashed in both the ODI and T20I series on their New Zealand tour.
