Where YouTube TV-Disney war stands with ‘Monday Night Football’ in jeopardy
NY Post
YouTube TV subscribers are set to miss out on “Monday Night Football.”
As of Monday morning, YouTube TV and Disney have yet to resolve their contract dispute that resulted in the live streaming service pulling ESPN, ABC and other Disney networks on Friday.
That means YouTube TV won’t carry the final game of NFL Week 9 between the Cowboys and Cardinals in Arlington, Texas, for its more than 10 million customers, barring a deal being struck right beforehand.
ESPN said there was nothing new to report Monday morning. The NFL did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
“Despite our best efforts, we have not been able to reach a fair deal, and starting today, Disney programming will not be available on YouTube TV. This means you will no longer be able to watch channels like ABC and ESPN or access recordings from these networks in your Library,” YouTube TV wrote in an X post late Thursday.
While the Cowboys have had some struggles at 3-4-1, they have fans all around the country and are usually a big draw, and the NFL — which has a separate deal with YouTube for Sunday Ticket — likely isn’t pleased about the contract spat.
