Kirk Cousins’ narrowing options in second week of NFL free agency
NY Post
Kirk Cousins’ free agency has entered the “And behind Door 1…” phase.
The veteran quarterback is reportedly considering three different options after going unsigned in the first week of free agency, according to Sports Illustrated.
The Falcons released Cousins last week with a post-June 1 designation, and they are on the hook for the $10 million guarantee he received for the 2026 season.
The first option, and the one that seems to be the most unlikely, is that Cousins lands a starting gig.
Sports Illustrated listed the Raiders and Steelers as potential options, although both of those jobs may not be open for long — if at all .
The Raiders could have a need if they allow expected No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza to develop at the start of the season, but it’s always possible he starts Week 1.

SALT LAKE CITY — It’s easy to forget about the quiet, which in Knicks World means Leon Rose. We’re approaching five years — amazingly — since the team president answered questions from the independent media, and I’ve always maintained that’s poor practice because it avoids responsibility. If there’s no public explanation behind a move or a goal, there’s no accountability if it doesn’t work out.
