What Luca Vildoza’s $13.6 million contract means for Knicks
NY Post
PHOENIX — Luca Vildoza will get paid plenty of guaranteed money for this season, but Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said the combo guard, who was signed Thursday, is not going to have enough time to join his team for the regular season — and is unlikely to be with the Knicks for the playoffs.
“It’s going to take some time for him to get over here,’’ Thibodeau said Friday night, before the Knicks’ 128-105 loss to the Suns. “Our scouts really liked him. We’ll have time to evaluate him over the summer.’’ Pressed on whether that meant Vildoza won’t be with the Knicks in the play-in or playoffs, Thibodeau said: “There’s a whole process that he’s going to have to go through so it’s going to be more of a summer thing. He’s got to go through a number of things to get cleared. That’s going to take time. We’ll take it step by step.”More Related News
