West Indies vs India, 4th T20I: Small dimensions and power packed line-ups set Florida up for an epic run fest

West Indies vs India, 4th T20I: Small dimensions and power packed line-ups set Florida up for an epic run fest

India are set to take West Indies at Florida, USA, in the 4th T20I of the series. Fireworks are expected from this match due to its small dimensions.

122, 141, and 164 are all that the West Indies have been able to muster against a half-strength Indian bowling line-up in the first three matches of the five-match T20I series.

Warner Park in St Kitts and Nevis, alongside the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago, have worked against the Windies batters who prefer pace to spin. India have generally bowled well, with Hardik Pandya having the best economy among the main bowlers from India, at 5.30 RPO.

If you are in such a slump against anyone who tries to roll their fingers across the ball all the time, there is nothing better to aid you than the dimensions of the Central Broward Regional Park in Florida.

The first time that India and West Indies met in this ground, a total of 489 runs were scored. Evin Lewis and KL Rahul got their individual centuries, while Rohit Sharma struck 62, at a strike rate of 221.42.

Windies will be hoping to use this to the best effect and claw their way back into the series. Their unit is still rough around the edges and there is lack of clarity on the line-up that they will bring into the team. Nicholas Pooran possibly has to find some inspiration in himself to lift this team up and get a win at home against one of the favourites for the World Cup title - India.

For the visitors, concerns lie in their captain Rohit Sharma, who walked off retired hurt after pulling his back. Now, there has been no official clarification on his fitness, but one can expect him to be rested in case he is not feeling fully fit.
