On Sunday, Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals to win IPL 2022. Earlier, Real Madrid beat Liverpool to win the Champions League title.
Gujarat Titans (GT), on Sunday, May 29, stormed to victory in the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) after beating the Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Hardik Pandya, their skipper, led from the front and won the Player of the Match award for his superlative show in the crunch game.
Pandya picked up three crucial wickets and also scored vital runs to take the Titans through to victory with 11 balls to spare. In only their maiden IPL appearance, the Titans came up trumps. After their win, the Titans dropped a post on their Twitter handle, taking inspiration from Real Madrid’s win in the Champions League final on Sunday.
On May 29, Real Madrid defeated Liverpool to secure their 14th title in the Champions League. The official Twitter handle of GT retweeted a tweet from Madrid, which read, “We don't play finals, we win finals.”

After the win, the Titans’ skipper was pumped up and said that he wanted to help India win the 50-over World Cup. The Baroda-born cricketer said that donning the national colours has always been a matter of honour and pride for him.
"Playing for India has always been a kind of dream come true, no matter how many games I have played. It has always been a pleasure for me to represent the country. The kind of love and support I have got it is only from the Indian team point of view. Long term, short term, I want to win the World Cup no matter what happens," Hardik said.
