Water level in Papanasam dam on Sunday stood at 86.55 feet (the maximum level is 143 feet) with an inflow of 54.35 cusecs and discharge of 200 cusecs. The level in Manimuthar dam stood at 85.84 feet (118 feet) with an inflow of 2 cusecs and nil discharge. Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Sunday was in (mm): Ambasamudram 3, Cheranmahadevi 24.40, Radhapuram 9.60 and Kannadian Anicut 1.60.
