Papanasam & Manimuthar dams in Tirunelveli record water levels & rainfall in last 24 hrs.
The water level in Papanasam dam on Sunday was 140.80 feet (maximum level 143 ft) with an inflow of 1,713.45 cusecs and a discharge of 3043.04 cusecs. The water level in Manimuthar dam was 113.61 ft (118 ft) with an inflow of 2019.01 cusecs and a discharge of 5,665 cusecs. The rainfall (in mm) during the last 24 hours ending 6 a.m. are as follows: Papanasam: 2, Servalaru: 1, Manimuthar: 3.4, Manjolai: 18, Kakkachi: 23, Nalumukku: 25, Oothu: 28 and Cheranmahadevi: 1.60 mm.
