Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 113.90 feet (the permissible level is 142 feet) with an inflow of 105 cusecs and a discharge of 105 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 56.27 ft. (the maximum level is 71 feet) with an inflow of 110 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. The combined storage in the Periyar credit was 2,052.22 mcft. The rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Saturday was: Sothupparai dam 28, Marudhanadhi dam 24.8, Manjalar dam 14, Mullaperiyar dam 6.2, Kodaikanal 4.6, Shanmuganadhi dam 1.8, Gudalur 1.6 and Thekkadi 0.6.
