The House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol holds what may be its last public hearing Thursday, as it wraps up its investigation into former President Donald Trump, the actions he took and his influence, as he refused to acknowledge the results of the 2020 election.
CBS News will broadcast the hearing as a Special Report starting at 1 p.m. ET.
Thursday's hearing is expected to take a broader look at Trump's mindset during his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, committee aides said Wednesday. Unlike previous hearings, which focused on a specific topic, this hearing will look at events before the election and after Jan. 6.
