Watch | 2 more steps: Pumped-up Virat Kohli celebrates RCB's IPL 2022 Eliminator victory in dressing room

IPL 2022: Virat Kohli looked relieved as well as elated as he led the dressing room celebrations in the RCB camp after their win over LSG in the Eliminator at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Former captain Virat Kohli led the dressing room celebrations that began well past midnight at the Eden Gardens on Thursday after Royal Challengers Bangalore pulled off a stunning 14-run win over Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2022 Eliminator.

Virat Kohli looked relieved and delighted as he was the center of attraction in the RCB dressing room in Kolkata. The RCB star was seen having a warm embrace with head coach Sanjay Bangar as the former finalists broke the "Eliminator jinx" after their win over LSG. RCB had made the playoffs in IPL 2022 and 2021 as well but they crashed out after losing the Eliminator on both occasions.

However, there was no stopping RCB on Wednesday in Kolkata as they rode on a stunning 112 not out in 58 balls from Rajat Patidar to post a match-winning total of 207. RCB bowlers, led by Josh Hazlewood's 3-wicket haul and Harshal Patel's miserly figures, came up with a collaborative effort to contain a powerful LSG batting order that managed just 193/6 in 20 overs.

"Two more steps, two more steps left," Virat Kohli said as he clenched his fists and celebrated the win, as seen in a video shared by RCB.

LSG vs RCB, IPL 2022 Eliminator Highlights

Kohli was effusive in praise for Rajat Patidar as he said he hasn't seen many better knocks under pressure in the IPL. Patidar won the Player of the Match award for his blitzkrieg that came after RCB lost their captain Faf du Plessis for a golden duck.

RCB sneaked through to the playoffs after Mumbai Indians helped their cause by defeating Delhi Capitals in their last league game but the former champions are looking fired up to go the distance. RCB last played the final in 2016 -- an unforgettable season for Virat Kohli as their then captain scored 973 runs, including 4 hundreds.
