During a hearing over his remark on the 'Modi surname', Congress leader Rahul Gandhi told the Surat court that he didn't mean to target any community and that it was just sarcasm.
A court in Surat on Thursday heard the defamation case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remark on the 'Modi surname' during an election rally in 2019. In his reply to the court, Rahul Gandhi said, "I didn't mean to target any community. I just played sarcasm during the elections. I don't remember much about this". Rahul Gandhi appeared before the court to defend himself in a defamation suit that was filed by a Gujarat BJP MLA over the Congress leader's remarks on the 'Modi surname'.More Related News
