Waltair Division launches special drives for safety, security, and passenger amenities during summer with focus on crowd management and smooth operations.
Special drives were launched by Waltair Division to enhance safety, security and passenger amenities during this summer. The drives focused on crowd management, enhanced safety measures, smooth train operations and improved passenger amenities.
Divisional Railway Manager Lalit Bohra, emphasised the objectives of these initiatives and said that efforts were being made to manage overcrowding issues, safety and security of passengers to ensure their comfort and safety.
To ensure effective crowd management and smooth train operation, joint teams comprising Commercial Ticket Checking staff and Railway Protection Force (RPF) have been formed for conducting ‘Fortress Checks’ to enable smooth entry, queuing, crowd management at major stations. These checks focus on preventing unauthorised entry into reserved and designated coaches for Divyangjan passengers and women travellers.
The railways have appealed to passengers to adhere to safe travel practices, carry valid tickets, stay vigilant regarding their belongings, report any unattended luggage to railway authorities, and cooperate with the railway staff for a better travel experience.
