Wall Street Journal Warns This Donald Trump Move 'Could Come Back To Bite Republicans'

The newspaper's conservative editorial board flagged how it could backfire in future.
The Wall Street Journal got on Donald Trump’s case once again on Monday, warning how one of his latest maneuvers could “come back to bite Republicans.”
The newspaper’s conservative editorial board criticized Trump’s push for Senate Republicans to abandon the long-standing “blue slip” tradition, which allows a home state senator to block a district court judge or U.S. attorney nominee.
Trump has slammed the process following the removal of his former personal attorney Alina Habba as the acting U.S. attorney for New Jersey.
“The worry is that such machinations might become routine to evade Senate confirmation,” the board wrote.
