Virat Kohli to open with Rohit Sharma in T20 World Cup: A lot will depend on KL Rahul’s form, says Deep Dasgupta

Former wicketkeeper-batsman Deep Dasgupta feels that it is too early to suggest whether Virat Kohli will open with Rohit Sharma in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Instead, the cricketer-turned commentator believes a lot will depend upon KL Rahul’s form.

Virat Kohli had made it clear that he wants to open in the T20 format when he promoted himself in the batting order in the last match against England at home. The Indian skipper continued to open for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 before the tournament was suspended. However, former wicketkeeper-batsman Deep Dasgupta suggests that it is to early to predict whether Virat Kohli will open with Rohit Sharma in the upcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled to begin from October 17 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.
