Gautam Gambhir heaped rich praise on Virat Kohli after his superb 79-run knock in the ongoing third Test against South Africa in Cape Town.

Former India opener Gautam Gambhir lauded Virat Kohli for his disciplined 79-run knock on the opening day of the third Test match against South Africa on Tuesday. Gambhir said Kohli put his ego aside and left a lot of deliveries outside off-stump in his superb knock on Day 1.

Kohli played a lone hand with 79 as the tourists were bowled out for 223 on the first day of the decisive third and final Test against South Africa. Kohli missed out on his 71st international hundred by 21 runs as he fell while trying to accelerate after losing partners at regular intervals.
