‘Very Firm Instructions’: Trump Issues Extreme Threat Toward Iran

The president warned "the whole country is going to get blown up" if he is targeted by its regime.
Donald Trump said in an interview that aired on Tuesday that he has issued “very firm instructions” for the country of Iran to be completely obliterated should anything ever happen to him at the hands of its regime.
NewsNation’s Katie Pavlich had asked the president to respond to Iran’s personal death threats against him as he calls for regime change amid ongoing, and increasingly deadly, protests against Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
“Well, they shouldn’t be doing it but I’ve left notification, anything ever happens, we’re going to blow ... the whole country is going to get blown up,” vowed Trump, who has been the reported target of Iran before following his 2020 order to assassinate top Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
The president also accused his predecessor, former President Joe Biden, of failing to respond forcefully to earlier threats against him from Iran, even though Biden’s administration did brief Trump on the issue.
“We always said, ‘Why isn’t Biden saying anything?’ Because he didn’t. But a president has to defend a president,” Trump said. “But I have very firm instructions – anything happens, they’re going to wipe them off the face of this earth.”
