Poet-activist Varavara Rao underwent a successful cataract surgery at Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital on Saturday. The surgical procedure, known as phaco with multifocal foldable intraocular lens (IOL), with suture-less topical anaesthesia, was carried out by the doctors at the hospital.
