Aspirants of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 are eagerly awaiting the official notification, which is expected to be released shortly by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Once issued, the notification will mark the formal beginning of one of India's most competitive recruitment processes for elite services such as IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and other Group A and B posts.
The notification, originally scheduled for release on January 14, was postponed due to administrative reasons.
Nearly two weeks after the delay, the commission has yet to announce a revised date, leaving lakhs of aspirants closely tracking updates on the official website.
As per the previously released UPSC examination calendar, the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on May 24, 2026. The prelims will serve as the first stage of the three-tier selection process, followed by the Mains examination and the Personality Test (Interview).
