UP seeks urgent listing of plea in SC against Karnataka HC order quashing notice to Twitter official

The Uttar Pradesh government sought urgent listing of its plea against the Karnataka High Court's decision to quash a notice issued to the then Twitter India Managing Director Manish Maheshwari.

The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday asked the Supreme Court to urgently take up its plea against the Karnataka High Court's decision to quash a notice of personal appearance issued to the then Twitter India Managing Director Manish Maheshwari. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had sought urgent listing of the plea for a probe into a communally sensitive video uploaded by a user on the microblogging site.
