A six-month-old girl died in her father's arms as her family ran pillar to post to find a doctor at the emergency unit of a government hospital in UP's Barabanki.
While the Covid-19 pandemic has overburdened the hospitals across India, there are some medical facilities where doctors are not even turning up for emergency duty. The alleged absence of doctors from the emergency ward of a government hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki claimed the life of a six-month-old girl on Sunday. The infant died in the arms of her wailing father while the family ran pillar to post searching for a doctor to treat her. Sandeep Kumar Shukla, a resident of Tehsipur village in the Barabanki district, had rushed to the government hospital in Sirauli Gauspur after his six-month-old daughter Nitiya fell from the bed and lost consciousness.More Related News
