These cases relate to offences entailing punishment of life sentence. A bench of Chief Justice N V Ramana and Justices DY Chandrachud and Surya Kant will soon hear a petition filed by advocate Ashwini Upadhyay seeking quick disposal of cases against MPs and MLAs.
