Union Minister Anupriya Patel to grace AIIMS Mangalagiri's convocation, conferring degrees to 58 medical graduates on February 17, 2026.
Union Minister of State for Health and Family and for Chemicals and Fertilisers Anupriya Patel will attend the second convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Mangalagiri, as the chief guest. Minister for Human Resources Development (HRD) Nara Lokesh will be the guest of honour at the event on Tuesday (February 17, 2026), said Executive Director Ahanthem Singh.
Addressing the media on the institute premises on Monday (February 16), Dr. Ahanthem Singh said that the degrees would be conferred on 49 MBBS graduates, five MD/MS postgraduate students and four Post-Doctoral Certificate Course (PDCC) students.
Dean (Academics) Desu Rama Mohan, Medical Superintendent Rajashekar Mohan and others took part in the press conference. Later, they released a brochure on the recent achievements of the institute.
According to the brochure, the MBBS course, which began in 2018, had an intake of 50 students initially. Today, there are 748 MBBS students with an annual intake of 125 students. New courses, including PhD programmes in Biochemistry, Anatomy, and Microbiology will begin this year, according to the brochure.
The hospital has completed 31 lakh OPD consultations and the current footfall at the hospital has been around 3,500-4,000, per day.
