ULFA-I to release abducted ONGC employee after Assam CM's appeal

Banned United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) said it will release abducted Ritul Saikia, an ONGC employee, within the next four days. This comes after Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma made an appeal at a press conference.
Responding to the appeal made by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, banned outfit United Liberation Front of Asom Independent (ULFA-I) on Thursday announced that it will release Ritul Saikia, an employee of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) within the next four days. Ritul Saikia was abducted from Assam’s Sivasagar district last month. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday appealed to the outfit and its chief Paresh Baruah to release the abducted ONGC employee.More Related News
