UEFA Champions League: Away goals rule in all club competition scrapped from next season

European football’s governing body UEFA has decided to eliminate the away goals rule from all club competitions from the next season. Instead, ties in which the two teams score the same number of goals over the two legs will now have two 15-minute periods of extra time and, if required, penalty kicks.
