
UC Berkeley parents hire private security over lack of security on campus amid continue area crime

A team of private security guards will patrol around the University of California Berkeley campus in a pilot program funded by a parent group.

Six security guards from Streetplus, a private contractor, are patrolling five routes around the campus on foot and by bicycle from 6:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. daily. She is a native of Massachusetts and is based in Orlando, Florida.
