At the virtual meeting, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi expressed regret over the security lapse that had occurred in his state on January 5 and recited a ‘shayari’ (poem) regarding the same.
He said, “Honourable Prime Minister, you came to Punjab and we regret what happened during your visit. I just want to recite a shayari for you: ‘Tum salamat raho qayamat tak, aur khuda kare ki kayamat naa ho’ (You stay safe till the world ends, and let there be no end of the world).”
