Trump Official Jeanine Pirro Makes Ominous Warning About Federal Takeover Of D.C.

The U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia appeared Monday on Fox News after the president announced the deployment of 800 National Guard troops.
Former Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, warned Monday that President Donald Trump’s deployment of U.S. troops in Washington, D.C., is “just the beginning” of his federal takeover of the nation’s capital.
Trump has long supported congressional efforts for a federal takeover of the city, and after teasing a press conference Saturday that “will, essentially, stop violent crime” in D.C., he announced Monday that 800 National Guard members are being deployed there.
Pirro returned to Fox News that evening to defend this in an interview with Sean Hannity.
“President Trump has rightfully declared an emergency crisis of crime and deployed the National Guard, the ATF, the DEA, the FBI, so that criminals know now that we see them,” she said Monday. “We are watching them and we are gonna make them accountable.”
“But make no mistake, Sean, this is just the beginning,” Pirro warned.
