Trouble for NDA in Bihar? JDU makes veiled attack on BJP, claims ‘conspiracy’ to damage party

The JDU made a veiled attack against the BJP, claiming that the saffron party was trying to conspire against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar with the help of RCP Singh, who quit the party on Saturday.

After the resignation of RCP Singh from Janata Dal United, the rift between the JDU and the BJP seems to have widened in Bihar. The JDU made a veiled attack against the BJP, accusing the party of conspiring with RCP Singh.

On Saturday, RCP Singh had quit the JDU after the party sent him a notice over corruption allegations. Following his resignation, RCP Singh called JDU “a sinking ship”.

In response, JDU national president Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh said, “The JDU isn't a sinking ship, it's a sailing ship, some people are trying to damage it. Nitish Kumar identified those who were trying to damage it and took steps to mend it.”

Lalan Singh, in a press conference on Sunday, also targeted the BJP in gestures regarding the RCP Singh episode. Lalan Singh alleged that some people (BJP) were conspiring against the JDU and preparing to make another model (RCP Singh), like Chirag Paswan model.

“No conspiracy will work against Nitish Kumar. The Chirag Paswan model was used in 2020 and now another model was being prepared. A conspiracy was being hatched to reduce Nitish Kumar's stature”, said Lalan Singh.

The Janata Dal United national president further said that RCP Singh JDU was with Janata Dal United but his soul was somewhere else (read BJP).

"RCP Singh had never been part of any struggle of the party but was part of the power. Now that he has been removed from power, he was feeling the pain. What happened with RCP Singh had to happen someday because his body was with Janata Dal United but his soul was somewhere else", Lalan Singh said.
