Trips to Malaysia, Singapore: CBI books NTPC official for receiving kickbacks

The agency has filed an FIR against the former CMO of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) on charges of receiving kickbacks.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR against the former Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) on charges of receiving kickbacks in form of foreign trips to Malaysia and Singapore in exchange for pending payments to a contractor.
The FIR has been lodged after a preliminary enquiry by the CBI against the then CMO Dr Narendra Mohan Singh posted at NTPC in Uttar Pradesh’s Unchachar.
