DYFI and SFI activists pay tribute to revolutionary martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev on Martyrs Day.
As part of Martyrs Day, which was observed to mark the death anniversary of revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, activists of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Students Federation of India (SFI) paid tribute to revolutionary martyrs who laid down their lives for making India free from exploitation and oppression, at SVP Chowk in Kalaburagi on Sunday.
“At a tender age, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev happily and gallantly walked to the gallows. They firmly believed that their adversaries could kill them physically but never erase the ideas they cherished. These people’s heroes firmly upheld the revolutionary ideology and fought for it. They never compromised on their ideology,” DYFI State president Lavitra said at the event.
“Though their fight was directed against the British imperialists, their dream was to build a true Independent India free from all forms of exploitation and oppression. They sacrificed their precious lives to realise their dream. We need to take forward their cause,” the DYFI State president said.
SFI district president Sarvesh Mavinkar and secretary Sujatha and DYFI leaders Dilshad, Priyanka, Nagamma, Huligemma, Bharath, Ankita and Sudharani and others were present.
