TNSTC, Salem Division, announces special bus package to Yercaud from Salem

With the increase in the arrival of tourists to Yercaud, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC), Salem Division, announced special bus package from Salem to Yercaud from Sunday.

During weekends, tourists’ arrival to the hill station will be high, and during summer holidays in April and May and during the flower show and summer festival in May, lakhs of tourists will visit Yercaud. The number of tourists has gone up in the last three weeks as summer vacation has started and it is said that the number has doubled. The summer festival at Yercaud is likely to be held by the end of this month.

The Salem Division of the TNSTC announced a special bus package targeting the summer festival and also to help tourists cover important spots in the hill town.

Officials attached to the TNSTC said that from Sunday till the end of the summer season, the special package bus will start from the New Bus Stand at 8.30 a.m. to Yercaud every day, and cover important tourist spots including Karadiyur viewpoint, Shervaroyan Temple, Manjakuttai viewpoint, Pakkoda point, Ladies Seat, Gents Seat, Rose Garden, Yercaud Lake, Anna Park, Deer Park, and Botanical Garden. The bus will return to Salem at 7 p.m. The fare for a passenger is fixed at ₹300 and for children aged between 5 and 12, it is ₹150. The passengers can book tickets through the official website www.tnstc.in or via the TNSTC bus ticket booking mobile app.
