TMC's Jawhar Sircar files Rajya Sabha nomination, accuses PM Modi of being vindictive

Trinamool Congress's Rajya Sabha candidate Jawhar Sircar accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being vindictive and said many people aren't raising their voice as they fear repercussions.

Former Prasar Bharati CEO Jawhar Sircar filed his nomination paper for the Rajya Sabha election on a Trinamool Congress (TMC) ticket on Wednesday. Soon after filing the paper, Jawhar Sircar hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and accused him of being "vindictive". "I opposed my former boss, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, because of his vindictiveness," Jawhar Sircar told reporters, adding that he had to take the stand "because he could not stand by his decisions".
