The overhead water tank at Perumalpuram in Kottaram town panchayat of Kanniyakumari district is in dire need of restoration. The pillars of the tank are severely damaged and cracks have started developing. If not addressed immediately, the damage to the pillars could lead to the collapse of the 60,000-litre tank at any moment.

Construct roundabout
The Superintendent of Police office at Samathanapuram, Palayamkottai is surrounded by colleges and schools. Five roads intersect near the SP office, making the junction extremely busy with high vehicular movement. However, there are no traffic regulations in place to guide the school and college students as well as the general public, resulting in frequent accidents at the junction. The construction of a roundabout in front of the SP office junction along with a high mast light is essential to ensure smooth and safe passage of people.
