Tim Walz Can't Resist Launching Personal Dig At Kristi Noem Amid Impeachment Cry

The Minnesota governor mocked his former congressional colleague.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz cracked wise at Kristi Noem’s past in an interview with MeidasTouch on Tuesday. (Watch the video below.)
Host Ben Meiselas noted that the Homeland Security secretary’s incendiary accusations about the two protesters who were shot dead in Minneapolis by federal officers generated calls for impeachment. Even a few Republicans have clamored for her dismissal.
The chaotic turn in the administration’s deployment of federal officers to snare migrants has led President Donald Trump to undermine Noem’s power by sending border czar Tom Homan to oversee the actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and Border Patrol agents.
Near the end of his talk with Walz, Meiselas noted that the former South Dakota governor and Walz were once colleagues in the U.S. House of Representatives ― but that Noem was now “defaming” Walz. (The secretary has accused Walz of encouraging the violence.)
Walz harkened back to when they had a more cordial relationship and “cowrote bills together.”
