Three municipal corporations in Andhra Pradesh get 'Water Plus' certification

The municipal corporations of Tirupati, Vishakhapatnam, and Vijayawada have been recognised with 'Water Plus' certification for following best practices in sewage treatment.

The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has recognised three municipal corporations in Andhra Pradesh with 'Water Plus' certification. With this, Andhra Pradesh has become the first state to be recognized with more than one 'Water Plus' certified municipal corporation. Overall, nine municipalities across the country were awarded the 'Water Plus' certification.
