This dog-loving courier delivers more than just packages. Here's how neighbours repaid his kindness

A courier in the central Newfoundland town of Glovertown received a huge surprise this week.
While making his rounds and during the busiest time of year, Scott Jewison found a whole bunch of his clients waiting for him at a stop.
But instead of asking for their packages, they had something to give to Jewison instead: 50 boxes of dog treats, as well as $600 in cash as a Christmas bonus.
Jewison loves animals. He buys dog treats out of his own pocket and gives them to every single dog on his route, plus his own at home.
"I wasn't expecting this. Not at all. But I have to say, what an absolutely beautiful gesture and it certainly made my day," Jewison told CBC News.
"To receive this, I have to say it was a little overwhelming and pretty humbling."
Lesley Sheppard, who helped organize the community effort, said residents created a group and chipped in what they could, with some offering cash and others dog treats.
"I think the best part about all of this is he just is himself, he does what he does and he just brings so much joy to everyone," Sheppard said.
Jewison said he loves his job and some of the perks that come with it.
A highlight, he said, is getting to meet his neighbours while making stops and chatting for a few minutes before moving on down the road.
But the big payoff?
"I get to play with 150 dogs every day," Jewison said. "How much better does that get? And then I have so many beautiful people on my route, it makes my day go so much better."
Sheppard said dogs in the community have gotten to know Jewison and the vehicle he drives.
She said her dogs wait in the window and watch for him.
