A new study published in February found that those who ate yogurt more than twice a week had a lower rate of colon cancer than those who ate it less frequently.
"We hypothesized that long-term yogurt intake might be associated with colorectal cancer incidence differentially by tumor subgroups according to the amount of tissue Bifidobacterium," said the study. Christine Rousselle is a lifestyle reporter with Fox News Digital.
Bifidobacterium is a bacterium that is normally found in yogurt.
