The week in whoppers: Jimmy Kimmel rolls out his Hollywood elitism, Biden aide reads Iran’s mind (wrongly) and more
NY Post
“Before he was elected to the Senate, [Homeland Security Secretary] Markwayne Mullin was . . . a plumber. That’s right: We have a plumber protecting us from terrorism now.” — Jimmy Kimmel, Tuesday
We say: Talk about Hollywood elitism!
Mullin wasn’t just a plumber: He built his family’s six-worker business into the biggest plumbing company in Oklahoma, with over 300 employees; owned eight firms by age 36, served in the House for 10 years and Senate for three.
Such unfunny, smug and condescending remarks are why Kimmel is now the biggest joke on his show.
“The Iranians’ [proposal before the war] . . . went a long way towards resolving the nuclear issue.”
— Biden National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Monday
