The final Mets roster questions as spring training nears its end
NY Post
PORT ST. LUCIE — The Mets still had 44 players in major league camp as the team rested Tuesday on the final scheduled off-day of spring training.
Further reductions will occur over the next few days, and by the time the Mets break camp after Monday’s Grapefruit League finale, it’s likely only 27 or 28 players will remain for the 26 roster spots.
The final roster isn’t due until hours before the March 27 season opener in Houston.
Injuries to Sean Manaea, Frankie Montas, Francisco Alvarez, Jeff McNeil and Nick Madrigal in particular have spurred job competition in camp.

‘Freak of nature: Zion Williamson’s resurgence could pose a Knicks problem versus motivated Pelicans
Zion Williamson is slimmer and healthier for his trip to MSG.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.
