The Ashes 5th Test: England captain Joe Root said that they had a chance to win the match after dismissing Australia for 155 runs in the second innings but some poor batting let them down.

England captain Joe Root said that the visitors had a rare chance to win a Test match on their dismal tour of Australia in the Ashes in Hobart but their poor batting let them down. Australia fast bowlers Scott Boland, Cameron Green and captain Pat Cummins all took three wickets each as England collapsed from 68/0 to 124 all out.

England lost opener Rory Burns off the last ball of the second session on Day 3 and then lost the rest of their wickets within the nighttime session of the second pink ball Test of the series.
