The Ashes 5th Test: Sam Billings '100 per cent' ready if handed debut cap in Hobart

The Ashes: Sam Billings had been brought in as cover for wicketkeeper Jos Buttler and chances of him getting a Test debut in the fifth match has increased after the latter was ruled out with a finger injury.
Sam Billings has said that he is ready to take his place behind the stumps for England if he is given a maiden Test cap during the fifth Ashes Test in Hobart. Billings, 30, was recently in action for the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League and was brought into the Ashes squad as cover for wicketkeepers Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow.
While Buttler, the first choice wicketkeeper, has been ruled out with a finger injury, Bairstow batted through pain to score a gritty hundred after being struck on the thumb by Australia captain Pat Cummins. It has meant that Billings's chance of making his Test debut has increased.
