Texas university joins growing list of colleges reinstating standardized testing
Fox News
The University of Texas at Austin (UT) on Monday reinstated its standardized testing requirement, joining a growing list of higher education institutions.
The move comes four years after having test-optional admissions for undergraduate applications. UT suspended ACT/SAT score requirements in Spring 2020 due to "limited testing availability during the COVID-19 pandemic." Joshua Q. Nelson is a reporter for Fox News Digital.

The university added that due to the plethora of high school GPAs surrounding 4.0, the standardized test requirement is a "proven differentiator" that serves the best interest of the applicant and UT.
