Locals in Lailapur, which lies along the interstate border in Assam's Cachar district, attacked several Mizoram-bound trucks carrying goods, fuel and medicines on Saturday.
Days after the violent clashes along the Assam-Mizoram border in the Cachar district, tension erupted there again on Saturday after several Mizoram-bound vehicles were attacked. The incident took place at a time when two Assam Cabinet ministers were present in the region. The ministers held meeting with the representatives of local organisations to discuss ways of convincing the general people to lift the "unofficial" economic blockade against Mizoram.More Related News
