A 17-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a suburban train near Wimco Nagar on Monday (June 9, 2025) night.
A senior official of the GRP said M. Mohammed Guz Naseef, a resident of Tiruvottiyur, was a Class 11 student at a private school. At around 9 p.m. on Monday, he was heading to a friend’s house by crossing the railway track near Wimco Nagar when a suburban train proceeding from Beach to Gummidipoondi hit him.
Naseef was killed on the spot. His body has been sent to Government Stanley Hospital for postmortem examination.
