Teddy Bridgewater may find new NFL home quickly after Sam Darnold trade
NY Post
Teddy Bridgewater’s second stint as Sam Darnold’s teammate might be shorter than the first.
Bridgewater and his agent have found multiple teams interested in making a trade for the 28-year-old quarterback, according to NFL Network. The Panthers gave permission to Bridgewater and his agent to find a trade partner earlier this week, after they replaced him as their starting quarterback with Darnold’s acquisition. In order to get a deal done, however, Bridgewater is going to need to take a pay cut. His contract pays a $17 million base salary, including $10 million guaranteed. That’s not in line with the market for a quarterback who either would be a backup or in a competition to start. Perhaps one of the teams expected to draft a first-round quarterback — like the Jaguars – or one who is uncertain about its young starter – like the Broncos – would add Bridgewater.
‘Freak of nature: Zion Williamson’s resurgence could pose a Knicks problem versus motivated Pelicans
Zion Williamson is slimmer and healthier for his trip to MSG.

Almost a year to the day after a goaltender interference call against Kyle Palmieri lost the Islanders a game against the Blue Jackets that started their season’s death spiral, they were on the wrong end of another controversial call against those same Blue Jackets that might have had the same effect.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.
