
Teacher held for bid to rape minor student in Hyderabad

The accused tried to sexually abuse the minor in school on Saturday morning when she was alone. Upon hearing her screams, other staff in the school rescued her and informed the victim’s family.
A school teacher in Hyderabad's Chatrinaka area was arrested on Saturday for allegedly attempting to sexually abuse a Class 4 girl. The 35-year-old has been taken into police custody.
The victim came to school on Saturday at 8 am, before the other children in her class. When the victim was alone in the classroom, the accused tried to remove her clothes, said Chatrinaka inspector, Syed Abdul Khader, in a statement to The Times of India.
He said that the accused even beat the girl for screaming when he tried to take her clothes off. Other staff members in the school reduced her.
The school authorities alerted the family, who lodged a complaint. Police said that the accused looked mentally disturbed. He was charged with violating the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the Juvenile Justice Act and the Indian Penal Code.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
