CBC
The Trans Canada Highway in Terra Nova National Park has reopened to one lane of traffic, following a collision on Tuesday evening.
At 5:15 p.m. NT, Glovertown RCMP reported that the highway was closed due to a serious motor vehicle collision.
Bumper-to-bumper traffic lined the TCH for hours. On Facebook, Parks Canada said there was a multi-vehicle collision north of Terra Nova Road.
Police partially reopened the highway around 10 p.m. NT advising motorists to expect delays as traffic moves intermittently, while Parks Canada advised those in Terra Nova Park to avoid the area if possible.
The RCMP told CBC News it could not provide more information until Wednesday.
