
Tata Motors posts 35% growth in February 2026 sales

Strengthening its position in the passenger vehicle market, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. delivered a strong performance in February 2026, driven by strong domestic demand, export expansion and sustained growth in sales.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPV) reported robust sales performance for February 2026, registering total sales of 63,331 units across domestic and international markets. The company had sold 46,811 units in February 2025, translating to a strong year-on-year growth of 35 per cent.
The company’s passenger vehicle domestic sales stood at 62,329 units in February 2026, compared to 46,435 units in the corresponding month last year. The growth reflects sustained demand for Tata’s portfolio of cars and SUVs, backed by its focus on design, safety and technology-led offerings.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles’ international business (IB) posted significant growth during the month. Exports rose to 1,002 units, up from 376 units in February 2025, marking a sharp 167 per cent increase year-on-year.
The company’s electric vehicle (EV) segment continued its upward trajectory. Combined EV sales (domestic and international), including volumes from Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, stood at 8,385 units in February 2026, compared to 5,343 units in the same period last year, reflecting a 57 per cent growth.
The strong EV performance highlights Tata’s continued leadership in India’s electric passenger vehicle space and aligns with its broader strategy to accelerate sustainable mobility solutions.
