Farmers in Tarluvada demand timely compensation from the government for land used in the Google Data Centre project.
Bheemunipatnam MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao has assured the farmers of Tarluavada that the State government will fulfil every promise made to them and will not forget their sacrifice in parting away their land for the Google Data Centre project.
The MLA held a meeting with the farmers at his camp office in MVP Colony on Tuesday. The farmers urged that compensation, land allotments, and employment opportunities promised to them should be delivered before the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the data centre proposed on April 28.
A few farmers complained that a road is being laid from Gudilova to the data centre site, but the revenue officials had not yet started any discussion regarding the compensation of lands in that 2.5 km stretch.
Farmers also raised several issues. While some alleged that compensation was halted due to errors in the ownership details, others expressed concern over the government announcing the same compensation for both assigned lands and patta lands.
The farmers reiterated the promises made by the government regarding allotment of 20x25 size shops in a shopping complex along the NH-16 for 51 beneficiaries, one outsourcing job per family, and distribution of three cents house sites each to 620 beneficiaries.
Addressing these farmers, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that the government is committed to fulfilling every promise and that there is no room for doubt in this regard.

The West Asia crisis has thrown the manufacturing sector into disarray, causing significant operational bottlenecks that show no signs of easing. This situation is affecting port operations, shipping activities, container movement, and energy supply — particularly Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). These disruptions are driving costs higher, say industry players, expressing fears about a much bleaker future if conditions do not improve.
